  	Joanne Elgersma, 74, of Arpin, WI died Saturday, March 16, 2013, at the Bethel Center where she resided. Joanne was born November 16, 1938, in Chicago, the daughter of William and Angean Voss Hoekstra. On May 6, 1960, she married Andrew Elgersma in Delavan, WI. Following their marriage the couple resided in Ontario, Canada, until 1977, at which time they moved to Wisconsin Rapids and became dairy farmers. In 2006, they retired and moved to Waupun. Joanne was a member of Grace United Reformed Church in Waupun. Joanne is survived by four children, William (Patricia) Elgersma of Greenwood, WI; Robert (Hannah) Elgersma of Vesper, WI; Sharon Elgersma of Chino, CA; and David (Kimberly) Elgersma of Vesper, WI; ten grandchildren, Michelle (Chris) Putney, Julia, Rachel, Brittany and Alicia Elgersma, Karmen (and fiance, Stephen Berg), Calvin and Katrina Elgersma, and Ethan and Danielle Elgersma; a brother, Henry (Loie) Hoekstra of New Era, MI; a sister, Nell Ann (John) Slinkman of Vesper, WI; and nieces and nephews. Joanne was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew; her mom, Anna Hoekstra; and her parents. Funeral services for Joanne Elgersma will be held Thursday, March 21, 2013, at noon at Grace United Reformed Church with Rev. Talman Wagenmaker officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Mound Cemetery in Waupun. Friends and relatives of Joanne Elgersma may call on the family on Thursday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
