  	Andrew "Andy" Elgersma, 71, of Waupun, died Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac. Andy was born Sept. 22, 1938, in the Netherlands the son of Melvin and Alice Montsma Elgersma. In 1947 the family moved to Ontario, Canada. On May 6, 1960 Andy married Joanne Hoekstra in Delavan. Following their marriage the couple resided in Canada until 1977 at which time they moved to Wisconsin Rapids and dairy farmed. In 2006 they retired and moved to Waupun. Andy was a member of Grace United Reformed Church in Waupun. Andy is survived by: His wife, Joanne of Waupun; four children William (Patricia) Elgersma of Greenwood, Robert (Hannah) Elgersma of Vesper, Sharon Elgersma of Chino, Calif.; David (Kimberly) Elgersma of Vesper; 10 grandchildren Michelle (Chris) Putney, Julia, Rachel, Brittany and Alicia Elgersma, Karmen, Calvin and Katrina Elgersma, Ethan and Danielle Elgersma; four brothers and five sisters, all from Ontario, Canada, Steven (Jenny) Elgersma, John (Lynne) Elgersma, Leo (Alice) Elgersma, Raymond (Gerda) Elgersma, Sylvia (Peter) Damm, Tena (Otto) Kiers, Martha Verschoor, Jane (Dave) Hadden, and Helen (Brian) Cowan; his mother-in-law, Anna Hoekstra of Vesper, Wis.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Henry (Loi) Hoekstra of New Era, Mich.; Nell Ann (John) Slinkman of Vesper; 44 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers-in-law. Funeral services for Andy Elgersma will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Grace United Reformed Church in Waupun with the Rev. Talman Wagenmaker officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Mound Cemetery in Waupun. Friends and relatives may call on the family at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun on Sunday from 4 to 6:30 p.m. and on Monday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
